Is Rampagni compatible with foetida?

This is a white I got from vitor, it stays that color when fully ripe.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Kandrian bananas

Are all the fruit seeded? Do you have any other bananas nearby? Kandarian/kandarian is a landrace variety originally from PNG. Its an ABB triploid and although parthenocarpic, they can retain some levels of fertility. One indicator is Kandarian is a big banana plant, 30ft type big, if its not like this it might not  be the real deal.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Red longan

Do the original ruby longan have red fruit.

Started this thread many years ago when I just started collecting pouterias. Most people with possible bullata had one of the subspecies of torta. Im alot more familiar with the genus now. As for abiurana it simply means " like abiu" its a colloquial name for any tree with abiu like fruit. Since its used by the indigenous peoples to identify food sources I doubt theyre going to stop using it just because it isnt botanically accurate.

Cool, might give them a go and see how they germinate, I dont suppose you know of a source of Citrus. Garrawaye?

I have inodora here, grafted onto carizzo citrange growing well. I was looking into the use of C. australis as I have hundreds of fruit with seeds, I figured I could germinate them then trade for budwood to increase my collection.

I will take some comparitive pics, the fruit is only 2/3 the size of a normal pitanga. This specimen is actually grafted onto red uniflora. Has been grafted a couple of years.

I got 5 seeds of a supposedly white eugenia uniflora a while back from Vitor (wish i could contact him). Only one survived but appears I got lucky. Fruit are crisp with good flavour, a little small and slightly piney but not unpleasantly so.

Mine are just starting to flower here at the end of winter, I will post pics later. I think they need cool weather to trigger flowering. I need to try bulala seeds again, didnt get any takers from the last lots.

Im going to try inarch a rambutan and pulusan onto my korlan fruit trees this summer  if i can get top stock. If it works I will let you know.
