Freeze this thread!!!!!
Not until we all read this National Science Foundation funded paper that is of utmost importance to all of us!

The idiotic notions that emanate from the Loony Left are absolutely boundless.
Here's another: https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20220125-why-climate-change-is-inherently-racist
We can call it the BBCeeJay theory. Climate change and racism fueling stronger storms. I wonder if they've ever heard of the 1935 Labor Day hurricane, the strongest documented storm to ever hit Florida. Maybe Climate change was just ramping up in 1935 but racism was at its all-time high and this produced the strongest storm. Then Climate change died down for a bit, the Civil rights movement began, and the hurricane powers that be gave us a break until "the past 30 years or so" bro.
When I was at Lara Farms last year somehow rollinia (and its mixed reviews) came up when I was talking to the owner, and he said "It's great if you like mucus!"One of my favorite fruits, mucus and all!!
I couldn't tell how serious he was being. I guess I will see soon enough, hopefully I will get a fruit set this year on mine.
lemon merengue pie with annona flavor-
There is a reason it is called Rollinia/annona deliciosa
Hey! That's Annona Mucosa to you pal
XD hahaha much less appetizing Jabba
Well, I'm sorry to say my GF was underwhelmed by the flavor mostly because it left a banana peel type astringent film on the tongue. I ate the majority of the two fruits and while I'd not consider it a "top tier" fruit to rival the best mango I found it more refreshing and complex than mango. I look forward to the next crop.
Question? does anyone know if the seeds are viable after being refrigerated?

Pastor Adam hiding out behind the internet in Alabama , where'd he learn to thief so?
what a fraud.
people's "reasons" are sometimes "excuses" which can be complete lies and deception, pure manipulation. Over some stupid money. straight phukery.
His public gambling accounts dont make any of it look better, lol.
Although I will say they haven't been updated in a few years. Why gamble when you can just take.
Or 10 thousands of seeds from the hardiest of avocadoes of all times (Joey, Fantastic, Lila etc.. )
Can we go down another half a zone maybe to reach Zone 7b, or a solid Zone 8a plant with natural selection and 7-10 years?
Is anyone doing this already?
If you plant 10 of thousands of seed it will show results in 10 years or less .With that many seed you will skip the decades!!
I'm not as up to date on all this plinia so forgive my ignorance.
Is being cauliforus a description of this genus?
Are species like edulis and rivularis three exception?
Due to the peeling nature of the bark I think it would be very challenging.
Jabba,
If youre not already in the FB groups "North American Fruit Explorers - NAFEX" and "North American Scion Exchange", I suggest joining. Theres tons of posts throughout the week but not long ago saw some red-fleshed scions for sale, as well as other rare and misc. varities. Probably plenty more groups to joing from there. Best of luck.
Woohooo, Lance is back on TFF!
Glad you were able to take a much a needed break/vacation.
While many parts of the country are still under freeze warning, it's already feeling like late spring in our neck of the wood.
Our spring tends to be shorter than some other places; Next thing you know, summer will be just around the corner.
For all you New Yorkers and Michigan folks who are complaining about freezing weather, please help bring some of that cold down here (just a little bit now, not too much lol)...Our lettuce, cabbage, and arugula are already beginning to bolt and the pea plants are not liking this warmth. I'm already missing the cool season greens. We need more cool fronts! Okay, I'm done with my ranting for now.
I actually enjoy Xanthochymus out of handI had gotten a nice one from HawaiianTropicalPlants a couple years ago, https://www.store.hawaiiantropicalplants.com/Garcinia-gummi-gutta-Gamboge-4x4x10inch-tree-pot-1638.htmSorry for the mix up was refering to gamboge garcinia xanthochymus.
it was fairly large size and healthy. Seems they still carry them but it says "back ordered", you could try emailing the seller he should be responsive.
Can I ask what the attraction of gamboge is, though? I ordered it when I was initially collecting all the garcinias I could find and didn't read up much on it, seems like it isn't really for fresh eating, maybe cooking/medicine
It's going to be used as rootstock. The fruit doesn't taste too good. Way too sour. I hear it's used in curries and stuff not for eating out of hand.
I agree- it’s super sour, but pretty tasty. Eaten ripe it’s kinda like the flavor of a super sour green mango to me, but the texture of a ripe mango.
