Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: When to harvest Annona Rosada?
« on: January 13, 2022, 03:27:03 AM »
wow congratulations! I've never been successfull grafting this variety on my cherimoya trees... I think you'll have to wait just a little more until the flakes expand a bit but it looks gorgeous :D

Yes, I would agree it has to do with the wind, are the trees around in the same condition or is it just this one?

"candlestick" style
Would I expect something very much like this?

That's more or less how I do it, but it's the first time I try so I can't give you any feedback if its better or not, anyway it grows too much and quickly so you can practise from one season to another with no risk :)

I have also been drinking this tea maybe once every two weeks, I don't think this might harm anyone and maybe as a placebo it's great, who knows...anyone could add more info about this? :)

Wow this design is just amazing! but I guess you need special tools and a solder to make it; was it too expensive to make?

Aluminum is lighter than wood and concrete!! Or you just tig weld some aluminum and it's good for the next 2000 growing seasons and not having to fix wood or look at a failed design saves you money and ego. At least when we get a huge hurricane my d.f. posts will be there still 😆.

Hi Guillem,

Did you manage to find those branches? I grow avocados in Spain, Almuñecar (Granada) I have several mexicola trees in my farm, if you're still interested maybe I could help you. I thought it was a bit too cold up in Catalonia to grow avocados due to minus temperatures

How old are your Zill Mango trees? Mine are around 40 years and are starting to have the same disease you show on the photos :(

I'm planning to prune them after the harvest season to see if I can refresh them and recover

It's funny because Irwin mango happens to be really tasty in South Spain...maybe because we are on the weather limit. If you're in India I'm sure you'll find tastier ones :)

Have you tried Manila Mango? I did on the Phillippines and it was a very satisfactoy experience!

Best regards

Wow that's amazing! I tried several times but didn't succeed :(

Have you tried Gomera III? It's the one we use in Southern Spain and the Canary Islands...
