Nuraxi , is this the growth on the graft for two years? If thats the case, could opuntia dwarf dragonfruit?  Seems like this if too shy of a growth for a 2 y/o graft.  Yes it will be guite heavy  but i plan to support the grafts by strings that pass trought the pollicarbonate and tie them to it. Or use stakes in some way, havent really decided yet.

This in the photo is the growth from April to October, then I was planting it in the ground, but it fell and I broke it, but I will try again in the future, i have success whit cleft graft , before grafting I removed all the thorns and buds from the 'opuntia, the central graft is died after a month.

Hello,
I had seen in a video in YouTube, in Mexico that they had succeeded grafted dragon fruit to opuntia, and so I tried too two years ago, this my graft ..
 hylocereus undatus on opuntia..

opuntia on dragonfruit could also work, but I think it would be really too heavy to support.

Hi, I have both chinensis and barbadensis, I cultivate them because I like them as landscape plants, and for the beautiful blooms, the leaves I have successfully used to treat sunburn, before taking it orally you should consult a doctor, both for any allergies or if you already suffer from particular intestinal disorders, it could also interact in a negative way with some foods and medicines, good cultivation.

Nuraxi,

Looks complicated.

I recommend that you get a soil analysis and a leaf tissue analysis, testing for all the known plant nutrients, in each sample, including Sodium (Na) and Chloride.

Thank you very much Guanabanus,  I will post a full photo of the plant later…

This Kensington Pride, after having spent its third winter planted on the ground, is now like this, usually in June it is already beautiful and recovering well, it has always suffered a bit of black spot and anthracnose towards the end of winter , especially on the finer branches, in the photo a sprig affected, I have already cut and disinfected with copper oxychloride, every now and then it suffers a little from ferric chlorosis, maybe it also has some other deficiency, I grow it in organic, every now and then I give micronutrients and macros through the leaves, it is the only one mango, that manifests these problems, I also thought of grafting on something else in the future, the rootstock is a Gomera3, what do you think? ..

This year gave me first and only fruit. I am starting to believe that when a tree produces only one fruit, that fruit is big,and delicious. It happened with other fruit trees here. I am at South Florida that is not tropical.

Thanks for your sharing Wonderfruit, you give me hope, how old is your tree? .. maybe it is still young, I read that it is very important to irrigate well from the beginning of flowering until the fruits are beautifully grown, if you want to post some photos, good cultivation.

12
This is my little tree, I planted it a few days ago, anyone else on the forum who successfully grows this plant outside the tropics? ..

13
thanks shot, ok..

14
Thanks, they were delicious, certainly better than bananas from the supermarket, even if some had a kind of hard seed in the center, and not fully formed, but I'm talking about 5/7 bananas in total ...

15
Thank you very much guys, yes…  under the bark it is still green as in the picture, therefore still alive, the pot is about 50/55 cm high, diameter 20 cm at the top, at the bottom it will be 15/18 cm, it is conical, here they use it Spanish and Italian nurseries for Mango plants, and others tropical fruits plants, the roots I saw in the repotting after the accident during the expedition, were about the size of a small orange, sorry for my English ..

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Will I be able to save my little jack?.

I buy this Jackfruit seedling a few months ago, during its journey with the postal courier the package and the soil in the pot were shake, I immediately repotted it and kept it in a bright spot but not with direct sun, now it lost all the leaves, the stone has dried up, I pruned to see if he was still alive, do you think he still has hopes of making it? ..
Any good advice will be welcome, thank you.

Luigi

Thanks RodneyS, yes I read that it is very good, I planted my sucker almost a year ago, it is still small, in winter it slowed down the emission of the leaves but it did not stop, now with the arrival of good weather here it will explode again, these days I will plant either a Dwarf Brasilian (Prata anã) or a Pisang Ceylon, here in Sardinia Island, Orto1978 has a nice collection of muses.

18
Orto1978, I have read that he loves to stay in large holes with deeply worked and well-draining soil, and that he loves humidity, in the Larafarm video it is said that it is a plant with few agronomic needs,  with us it is rare that the minimums in winter fall below 6 degrees, and if it happens being our exposures to south, does it for a few hours, it would also be interesting to hear someone who grows it in climatic zones similar to ours ..

19
Carolinazone, thanks for sharing your experience, in an Australian forum I read that a guy in Melbourne also killed 5, I knew that he is touchy to the transplant because of its delicate roots, but I also read that he has invasive roots and that is capable of damaging enclosure walls and other nearby concrete structures.

20
Carolyn, thank you very much for sharing your cultivation experience with the Caimito, I agree with you it is a beautiful plant, I hope you can also reap its fruits in the future.

Luigi

21
Hi, any of you have experiences of cultivation with the Caimito, outside the tropical zones? ..
If so, if you want to share your way of cultivating it, and give advice, that would be great, thank you.
