If you're purchasing it for the taste, just get a good variety of star apple. The emperor tree is very pretty and the wood is useful, based on what Ive read; and with its rarity, its highly valued.

I planted an imperiale seed from bellamytrees a week or so ago, can vouch as it's been very vigorously sprouting!

I'm excited to try the fruit one day, but really it caught my eye because as Dan said the foliage is striking

I still have some in stock, I will say though I have heard from others recently that this tree can take a really long time to fruit. I would buy it for ornamental purposes first and then for the fruit second. I am glad you guys had good luck with seeds! Here is the link for anyone still needing them, I wish they were cheaper though. After shipping costs these were close to $20 a piece for me buying bulk lol
