Harry, how much do you charge?  I was interested in Starfruit (Kari, Sri Kembangan) & Black Sapote

Harry, I haven't tasted Thai Night or Possum Trot.  How do they compare to the others for flavor?   Which of your varieties seems sweetest to you?

Sorry guys, I've been asleep at the switch here in not responding.  I have never shipped carambolas and I don't think they would get to their desitination in a condition that one would want. I like Sri Kembangan, Thai Night, Kari, Bell and Possum Trot all about the same.  On a given day one might be sweeter than the other based upon level of ripeness.  I have never done a sugar content analysis on these and would like to do one one day to settle this issue. Black sapotes could be shipped and I generally charge $4 per pound, plus shipping....which is in a USPS Flat Rate Box.

Harry, you are tempting me to buy a refractometer to test the brix of your carambolas. Maybe I will...

Your purchase would provide us hours of interesting analysis.  Think of it......really knowing what is the sweetest.  How ripeness affects sweetness.  Keeping records from year to year to see about the consistancy of the comparative sweetness.  Yes.....you must buy one immediately!!

I will buy one soon. I am going to post my refractometer research in the thread that Warren posted in the discussion forum.

At the moment, I don't have anything on the stand.  Its quiet out fruit wise.  I have some sapodillas but haven't put any out or shipped any this year. I did have a nice crop of jaboticaba, but I generally don't sell them. The next fruit stand items, I would think,  will be mangoes....and that is a way off yet.

Never tried to send any...but I wouldn't think they would do well with shipping unless you did an overnighting.

You would probably be ok packed in a styro shipper with cold packs and sent overnight or possible second day air.

Are there any mangoes available on the fruit stand (I hope you ship some this year).

Thanks!

Absolutely nothing available right now, sad to say.  In fact, SWRancher was kind enough to take pity on my lack of ripe mangoes and brought me some Rosigold mangoes from his yard. The mango crop at my house is really awful this year. Poor fruit set, followed by not spraying, followed by spring storms that knocked hundreds of fruits off the tree have made this year's crop one of the worst in memory.  Lots going on which prevented me from getting out and doing what I ordinarily do on the spraying of sulphur and copper. So this will not be a year when I will have a surplus of mangoes to ship. I have committed to reciprocate with some members for fruit they sent me over the past two months and between those obligations and local needs, sorry, maybe there will be fruits available next year.

The fruit stand has gone barren for months, with the exception of some over ripe mangoes that my wife put out.  Have a big problem with people steeling even the low quality over ripe fruit.  For those that are in the know, if you stop by, my cell phone number is on a sign outside and if any one is home, they can sometimes run some fruit out for selection and sale.  Once you have my cell phone number, feel free to contact me to arrange a sale directly. Contact me personally if you want the cell phone number.

Harry,
Can you post what fruits you sell (all year) with their approximate season times and prices (and also which ones are suitable for mailing, how much you could cram in a flat rate box, and the current cost of the flat rate box)?
I am possibly interested in mail order fruits depending on what is offered and price.
A list would help me (and others) know when I should check in on your stand....
What's that got to do with Jose Andres $10 brussel sprouts?
