A Very Small Fruiting Bush?

I have some areas against my house, under windows, which could really use some bushes.

Is there anything that fruits which will stay essentially only a couple feet tall?

I was thinking of Monstera Deliciosa but that seems like it would keep climbing..

Pitomba, it will get big but its a very slow growing Eugenia and easily kept under control.

Melons for example, Strawberries (need water)... for hot and dry exposures there is Arachis also

None of them are bushes of course, but you don't need to put limits to your work. Cucurbitaceae or Solanaceae (Solanum, Physalis) can made very versatile subshrubs

Arabica coffee can easily be kept as a shrub. Blueberries are another possibility.

Everything can stay small if you keep em pruned. Grumichama can be shaped into a nice hedge. Good luck mate.

Many people grow blueberries in north and south California. Irrigation is a must but it is for a lot of other plants too. Sunshine blue is a dwarf shb blueberry which is more tolerant of higher ph than others

Blueberries do fine here.  You have to get the low chill "highbush" types.
