Graft in winter?

(1/1)

Vlad:
I just brought my trees indoors for the winter. I am considering grafting some of them. Can I graft now or should I wait until spring?

sc4001992:
I think it depends on what fruit trees you want to graft. If it's citrus don't waste your time, wait until spring to start.

luak:
I do year around grafting. Grafting last week , a Santa Teresa piece of budwood.

Vlad:
I should have mentioned that my potted trees are under lights and at 60 - 65F, so it seems to me that light and temperature requirements would be met. No?

luak:
My growroom temps are warm enough, 65* to 68*. If you have a fancy variety you might want to go the extra mile and use a heat pad to be sure. If someone sends me a choice variety, I would go whatever it needs.
