Delivery of fresh fruits by mail
« on: February 21, 2022, 01:40:34 PM »
Hi guys, I have a question. What is the shelf life of most tropical fruits for possible postage? For example, I want to get Jackfruit, the package to Russia is on the way for 14-16 days, will it rot during this time or will it be suitable for eating? Which tropical fruits have the longest shelf life?

I doubt jakfruit would make it there in time. I received a ripe on as a gift from a friend and within a few days it was already starting to go bad. Of course refrigeration would help preserve it longer.
I have been impressed with the shelf life of achacha. Fruits were good for over a week plus shipping to me. I have read that they can last as long as 4-6 weeks provided that they are not refrigerated and kept in high humidity.
