Can this rollinia come back? Snapped in the wind

Can it come back from this little stub or should i just remove it and plant something else

That looks like a goner to me.  However, unless you must use the space, let it sit and who knows, the will to live is strong in plants.

Some trees are hard to kill, if it isn't dead...  maybe graft on it?
