Is this the start to South Florida Rainy season
« on: May 14, 2022, 09:32:35 PM »
The last two days have been terrible for my already poor mango season.

Yesterday we had hail stones and moderate winds, dropped a few fruits.  Not too bad.
Today heavy rain with vicious winds, somewhat localized, broke a branch of my Choc Anon loaded with fruits.  So a poor year even poorer.

I will take the rain though it has been dry the last several months.

Yeah, this is about it, Middle of May is when it really begins. I need it here, haven’t had much time to water the plants and they’ve been suffering.
Don’t rush, take time and enjoy life and food.

It's seemed like feast or famine here so far--long dry periods and then a rare heavy rain accompanied by strong winds. A storm that occurred when I was out of town last weekend moved my rooster Ace's cage (a dog kennel) twenty feet and over a four-foot chainlink fence. It was fun getting him contained again, he's so friendly . . .
