Terrible season

My Mango, lychee and annona are having their worst season ever while my sapodilla and canistel are and have been consistent producers.

Anyone else having similar issues? Suspected causes?

Poor season here too, the only standout in my yard is the Choc anon.

Yeah, not real great on the trees I see. Lots of golf ball-sized mangos littering the ground around older trees that are usually loaded. There's fruit hanging, but not like I expected with the late major cold snap we had.

Actually only my "Juicy Lucy (a Julie seedling) WAS doing pretty good until many of them (pool ball sized) fell to the ground orange and pink which is generally the color they are when ripening full size.

Got some lychee, not a whole lot but some.
Unfortunately, the birds have found them, squirrels too.

Fruit drop this year is very bad,i like to sell more for less than this years inflated price i have to charge.

No Lychees (I spotted 3 Lychees on one tree) at all after about 100 lbs from 5 trees last year. Very few trees in the n'hood have any.

Looks like a decent season for me, not as good as last year but i do have a wider spread.
Angie, Keitt, and Cogshall have a decent crop, everything else has enough for personal consumption.

It does look like I'm getting a nicer crop from other fruits though (Persimmon, mulberry, annonas. Jacks, Kwai muk)
I assume mostly due to them getting bigger

Same here (Highlands County) NO mango at all...zero!! 5 Mango trees and all the blooms were fried by the freeze in Feb. I only saw 5 or 6 lychee fruits  , they only survived because the blooms were on the inside canopy of the tree  , the birds should eat those before they ripen. Last year was a bumper crop for me, had SO many I was giving them away to all my neighbors after I had my fair share.

I was planning on going to the Mango Mania in July but with the price of gas I would spend almost $40 just to get there and back Lol...might have to visit the local produce store and hope they will have some home grown mangoes for sale here from south FL... going to be a bad mango year for me, I hope 2023 will be much better and NO freeze! One day is all it took to wipe out my whole Mango/Lychee season **sigh**

All my fruit are WAY early this year. Lychees are showing color, as are the few mangoes I have. The macadamias are nearly ready for harvest. This usually doesn't happen until September. Weird!

It is a reset year, first the financial reset now the fruit reset.

Even old reliable glenn has no mango. First time ever with not a single fruit.  Orange sherbet and sweet tart only producers really. Avocados are plentiful so are bananas. Lychees way down, longans are good.

Only mangoes to produce anything significant in my yard are: Pickering, Lemon Meringue, Sweet Tart and Nam Doc Mai. Venus produced fairly well on a branch also. Most of the other trees only a couple each or nothing. I'm sure the weather was the culprit, rained almost the entire time the flowers were out.

I had good fruit set and retention even after a very minor frost. My two issues this year have been fruit drop due to drought, and squirrels. Even so, I will have about as many mangos as last year instead of the increase I was hoping for. Have caught 2 rabbits in a week to relocate but no squirrels yet.

Last year was very good. This year is below normal. Last year my Pickering, Carrie and Sweet Tart (#1!) trees were heavy producers. My Carrie always comes through, so even this year it is OK, but half of last year.

here in Puerto Vallarta looks about the same, my mangos are doing very poorly, few small mangos and they came late this year, very few lychee also the only one that never disappoint in production and have a long season is Maha, Pickering also good production but season not as longer, couple of years ago got Maha for over six months cutting the last one of them in early January 😀

Climate change is a fake news?

I notice the climate change, but it seems to do good to us in So-Cal.
My mango trees produce heavily, as do other tropical fruit trees.
Even my peach, nectarine, and plum are doing really well this year.
So I don't know, maybe I like climate change here.
i am sorry if it does harm more than good over there.

Last year was a very good year, I had extremely abundant brewster lychee, pickering & glenn mango.  That's because we had a cool/dry winter preceding last summer.. Now I also have lychee erinose mite on my trees.  This year the winter was warm/humid/wet.  Climate change isn't fake, it's surprising that the way people live isn't having more of an effect.
