Does this plant pook like a sugar dragon dragonfruit variety?

Bought this a while ago, as a sugar dragon variety, i am not sure if it really is. Does it look like your sugar dragon plant, do they have the corcing on the ribs? Thanks!

Pooks like it to me, but hard to tell from just the vine.

Hard to tell from the picture.  I used to have it.  The stemp is darker green, thicker, and smaller than other dragon fruit stemps.  It just look different compare side by side to others.

Thanks, i quess i will wait and see, i hoped that the corking on the ribs would be a hint. I will wait for some heavy new growth and ultimately flower buds, for the id.
The new growth is more slender and does not have those long ribs, like my other ones, but the plants is a barely rooted cutting so that is surely also affecting the look.

S8 has primarily single thorns but new and sporadic growth will have 2-3 thorns. Young vines and also have primarily multiple thorns, so something to consider. Too hard to tell but does look like it.

Plantinyum, why growing this variety?  For me, I thought because it is sweet.   I abondoned it because the fruits were too small, not that much sweeter than American Beauty, and the stemps are too thorny.

S8 is great to have for pollination, and is a good fruit; but a bit smaller in fruit size.

Yes i wanted it mainly for a pollen source, but have also red that it tastes good and is a heavy producer.
The cutting (the mature part )mostly doesnt have thorns, although it has a few areoles that have from 3 to 4 spines.
The new growth's spines are all over the place ' from 4 to none. I will come back to this topic next year' once i have some good mature growth, we need a good amount of vegetative part, so we could determine a pattern, right?
I am just a bit doubtfull in the seller i bought it from, thats it.
