« on: June 15, 2024, 06:40:40 AM »
Hi all need some advice, trying to grow soursop from seeds, received seeds yesterday by post, I am not sure if a soursop tree from seed would bare any fruit at all? i f heard it needs to be grafted with soursop, not from seeds. Anyone can answer me please?

Soursop trees grown from seed will produce fruit.

Mine are from seed, and they flower, and produce fruit if I take good care of them...

When is the best time of the year to sow these seeds?

Seedlings grow fast and bear quickly being pretty true to type. The can get to be large trees and you are best off with named varieties that are fibreless or sweet or at least from a parent on known good quality.

As soon as you receive them. In pots. Then plant out, if your climate allows it, or keep in large pots. Mine are in 25 gallon pots in my greenhouse.
