Who is growing Maluma Avocado in Fresno county or in California ?
Avoman:
And when internet says Maluma takes cold decent I have yet to see it but it's nice in the fact it sets fruit inside the canopy for protection

I heard from a member that lives in Seattle that his Hamada tree took 18F with no issues. Maybe you should graft this one. I will trade you some Hamada cuttings for your Maluma.

Thank you for the photo! What a beautiful tree. It’s funny they’re know to grow upright from what I’ve read but the ones I’ve seen are more like yours bushy put perky. Maybe that’s from pruning. Interesting about the cold I’ve also read Maluma is more cold hardy than Hass but that was from South Africa. Look forward to more updates.

Internet will say it's more cold hardy than Hass, but don't believe it , going into winter number 2 ,trees are more busy now with better leaves so prob take cold well enough but I will report soon how well they do, Fresno can have it's first freeze toward end of nov
