Red Hybrid Jaboticaba: Flush or flower or just nothing
love_Tropic:
I got this Red Hybrid, not suer what exact "Red" variety as tag on it... it was around 2.5 ft tall with 1" trunk. Today I saw a new growth on the trunk little different, not sure is it flowering or just new flush. can confirm?
Colin:
Those are flowers congratulations. My reds usually set fruit first time flowering so you will most likely get fruit, just keep it well watered.

Thanks for the conformation. Didn't look this one for sometime now, I thought it was a bug, initially...
I'm in SoCal, we get around 45F in winter, not sure if it can fruit... Hope it will have more flowers in spring...
Seanny:
Red flowers year round here in SoCal.
Fruits die in winter.
Tree should have more flowers in spring.
Coconut Cream:
Could be flowers but you would know by now since they develop so quickly. Usually the flowers have some fluffy white edges but I don't really see that here. I can't tell from the photos if the bark is peeling, which is a good indicator to me that the tree is ready to fruit. I keep lots of water on my trees and they fruit almost constantly.
