Passion fruit peculiarity
« on: July 17, 2022, 08:50:52 PM »
I noticed an unusual shape on some passion fruits that were forming a few weeks ago. Vine is a seedling but whether it is the original vine from last year (where the fruit were simply round) or a seedling from last year's crop is unknown. Additionally, both yellow and purple fruits were grown together (separate vines of course) last year. I will also nite that these naturally I curred as shown and are not the result of any plastic shaping molds.   First pic is from July 4. Second and third pics are from today.
Has anyone seen this before? Virus maybe?

The few times I've seen misshapen fruits on our vines, they did not develop or ripen correctly. Don't know why. If its a virus, didn't appear to spread.
