Keep or Replace These Sunburnt Lucs Garcinia

I planted out 4 Lucs Garcinias a few months ago and 3 out of 4 are pretty badly sunburned. I have not had good luck with Garcinias recovering when they get to this point so I’m inclined to replace it since I have others but I would hate to kill the tree if it has a good chance of making it. Does anyone have experience with this or opinions on what you mmm mmm I should do?

Maybe you could create some shade by using some Sable palm leaves attached to some stakes in the grounde plants and see if it helps. My neighbor just removed a hedge that kept the sun off my dragonfruit. Now they get way too much sun and some are getting burnt so I improvised.

Keep em. They are salvageable and will bounce right back if given shade at that young stage. I have 2 in ground with irrigation, not getting any direct sunlight that were burnt to the ground from back to back days of frost this year from 3 ft tall. I thought they were dead but they bounced right back at almost 1.5 feet with wide dark green leaves.

i planted 2 this year a little bigger then yours. They were in pots getting
more then a 1/2 day of sun and dark green and I planted out March 1st
They are definitely struggling in the full Summer sun and one has
turned a little yellow. I have volunteer papaya coming up all over my yard
so I replanted 1 or 2 on the West side of the Garcinias. The papaya are growing
fast and will soon offer afternoon shade.
I also have had one come back from the roots like Robbie from a winter freeze.
It has multiple trunks but is not growing fast and so far 1 out of 2 achachas is
coming back from last Winter's freeze. They are tough trees but damn they grow
slow

Thank you all for your feedback and advice. I will keep them and provide some shade while young. It’s good to know that they are resilient.
