I was left with one Honey Kiss mango. I thought it was excellent.  For me, definitely top tier.

Mango mania strikes again! People will do the Kraziest thing for real ripe Florida mangoes. I shipped a mango care package today to relatives in Philadelphia. Get a US Post Office priority mail medium size $12.95 flat rate box (unlimited weight allowed) and mail it out on a Monday///// possibly Tuesday if going to a closer destination in the USofA.
I will start my "care packages" soon. Tommy Atkins, pack your bags.

By chance are there people up north that you don't actually love all that much?

Gary, based on a sample of two so far  ???, I'd say that Honey Kiss is very sensitive to when you eat it.  I bought two (last year) and ate them two days apart. One was nice but not exquisite and the other was bland. Sadly I no longer remember whether it was the earlier or the later one that tasted best.

I bought them from an inland source but they were quite clean despite the greater chance of fungus in that area.

Picked when ripe near ripe, this tree puts out some tasty fruit. I have islanders at work that love these things. I always wonder way they get such a bad rap, it must be like the Florida grown tomatoes in the store.

I tried my first 'Honey Kiss' today, sharing it with some co-workers, and everyone agreed that it was the best of the others we tried ('Dupuis', 'San Felipe' and 'Hatcher').  All varieties tried were rated good.  'Dupuis' came in a close second.  This is our third day in a row of munching on mangoes!  :)

When I lived in Bradenton there was a HUGE Tommy Atkins tree and he used to give me a bag every year...I must say they weren't too bad when they are picked at the right time...and the price was awesome...Free  ;D!!
Especially when you didn't have a mango tree of your own,lol...

I ate my Honey Kiss today.  It was very good, almost excellent.  It was very flavorful and sweet but maybe that was the name playing tricks with my taste buds.  It looked a bit fibrous around the seed where I cut with the knife but I did not notice fiber when spooning out the flesh.

Looks like a fun day. I'll be down next weekend. Planning to buy way more trees than I have space for.
