Unicyclemike:
Very interesting....Taking into account your experience what is benefit of grafting it to a trifolate?  I am asking because I do not know and want to hear from the community.

Mike Adams

poncirsguy:
Grafting to trifoliate improves flavor, disease resistance, and cold hardiness

Unicyclemike:
I thought trifolates tasted pretty bad...Do citrumelos taste worse if they are not grafted on a trifolate?

Mike Adams

mikkel:
There are several varieties of citrumelo. They differ in taste, hardiness and so on. By and large, the rootstock is not very important for the taste. On closer look, there are some differences, but with citrumelos it's mostly a matter of whether they're edible at all....and this also depends on individual preferencies

Unicyclemike:
Thank you for your response.
