hipasfolk - It is hot out there right now, even in Kentucky... I have still been shipping plants weekly though, and havent had issues. If I ship you a plant, and it arrives dead or damaged, just message us a photo of it on our support page and I will refund you or send you a replacement. Whichever you prefer. We can also hold your order for you until it cools down if you want. Thank you!

You can reach us here: https://www.bellamytrees.com/support

We have decided to randomly put the $100 discount codes in packages at random. So if you order anything look out for an envelope with instructions on how to use it!! If you get one shout us out on social media with your envelope so people we did send them out lol. I think this will be the easiest way for me to do it..

Shot - Its wild how some species sprout in 2 days and others take months or years. I am happy you FINALLY had success with one of these seeds. All of my seeds/plants are covered so if the other seed doesnt eventually sprout or something else doesnt grow well for you go to our support page and we will make it right. Thank you for the comment!! - https://www.bellamytrees.com/support

Nattyfroootz - Thank you for the support brother! For anyone who doesnt know this is the guy that runs https://www.wildlandsplants.com/  -  Check them out if you havent already. Its a great site that has some great plant info, and a shop with cool species for sale. They are also the only provider of merch to my knowledge (shirts, sticker, etc), and the art is SICK!

Starting today 7/28/2023 - 8/11/2023 we will have a 20% off SITE WIDE sale. We have updated the site with new seed species, which can be viewed here: https://www.bellamytrees.com/seeds

We have also added 15+ species available as plants. We can ship 5 4x4x6 containers for $15. We are trying out something cool here, if there is a certain species you are wanting to purchase multiple plants of, we will combine 1-3 plants into one container. So, in some cases you could get 15 plants shipped to you for just $15 in shipping costs. In the description of the listings, you will be able to see which species we can do this with. For some plants we will only be able to ship just 1 plant in one 4x4x6 container, and for others we can ship 2 or 3 plants per container. You can view our current plant selection here: https://www.bellamytrees.com/plants

Friday, 8/4/2023 we will list a new round of plants and hopefully new seed species as well. So, if you place an order now, and want to wait for us to ship until the new wave of seeds/plants drops, just go to our support page, and send us a message with your order number and name to let us know. If you have a question at any time, you are more than welcome to message us. If you have specific species you want as seeds or plants to either reserve or want us to be on the lookout for, let us know! We will do our best to get you exactly what you want. You can find that page here: https://www.bellamytrees.com/support

Also, on Friday 8/4/2023, we will list our older seed stock that we did not sell all of or did not plant yet- at a HUGE discount. We are tight on room here in our KY greenhouses, and do not want to see some of these species go to waste. So be sure and check back next Friday for that clearance sale. We will make a new post when those are available.

During this 2-week sale, we will be giving away 5 $100 gift cards to our website, that will never expire. Every $20 spent, including shipping costs, will give you a chance to win!

Thank you all, and I hope everyone is having a great summer!

I found it called Bapeba here https://tropical.theferns.info/viewtropical.php?id=Pouteria+pachycalyx as well as in the book "fruits in brazil native and exotic". Can you send the source that called it Cutite de restinga, I will change the post and website listing as well to be more accurate! Thank you

Pouteria Pachycalyx - https://www.bellamytrees.com/plants/p/pouteria-pachycalyx-bapeba

Bapeba is an evergreen tree with a dense, globose crown It grows 8 - 20 meters tall with a straight, cylindrical bole 25 - 45cm in diameter. The edible fruit is sometimes gathered from the wild for local use, though it is not widely appreciated. An ornamental plant, it has been recommended for landscaping. Present information suggests that this species is confined to Linhares Forest Reserve. This is a strange and very rare sapote having knobby, almost ugly fruits that ripen green and brown. Pulp is orange-tan in color, with a mildly sweet flavor.

Plants are available for $15 plus $10 in shipping. We can ship up to 5 plants at once for $15 total in shipping to anywhere in the US.

SPRING SALE!!

Having to live in Kentucky, and go through a decently long ROUGH winter, I CANNOT be more happy that spring has finally arrived!! To celebrate, I have decided to do a spring sale, along with a giveaway.

First, we have just updated the site with 15 new species, those can be viewed here: https://www.bellamytrees.com/seeds

Second, EVERYTHING in the store is 20% off. It will be automatically deducted at checkout. Later this week I plan to list a few seedlings as well. I will update this post as I list the seedlings.

Third, we will be giving away FIVE Eugenia Pulcherrima seedlings to FIVE lucky people. Four of the seedlings will be going to customers who make a purchase on the website. For every $10 spent, including shipping costs, you will be entered for a chance to win one of these seedlings. They have NEVER been offered in america before. Not as a seed, or as a plant. If you do not want to purchase anything from the site, you can still have a chance to win by following our instagram page. We will be giving away one seedling to a random instagram follow. We will cover shipping costs for the plant and everything. You can view and follow out account here:  https://www.instagram.com/bellamytrees/

Eugenia Pulcherrima info (courtesy of E-Jardim.com) -

This tree produces a large fruit (4-6 cm long x 2.5-3.5 cm wide), with an intensely orange rough surface, with a very thin edible skin, containing very juicy pulp of the same color, with a pleasant bittersweet taste. They are elongated and have ribs (divisions) that are barely visible, in addition to sepals at the end, revealing a distant kinship with the pitanga or pitangatuba ( Eugenia selloi ). In terms of taste, it is less acidic than the latter. Its shape, texture and color are also somewhat reminiscent of the cajŠ-mirim ( Spondias mombin ), the reason for its popular name. The plant is a medium-sized tree, with a trunk and leaves somewhat similar to those of the black grumixama ( Eugenia brasiliensis ). In the original description published at the end of the 19th century (Kiaerskou, 1893) this similarity was pointed out, but even in the vegetative state  E. pulcherrima is easily identifiable by the leaves and new branches changing from green to rusty, hairy orange (see photo). The fruits are consumed raw, or used in the same way as pitangatuba. The plant is extremely beautiful (the species name in Latin, pulcherrima, means beautiful) and should be used in landscape compositions that value the beauty of its young orange and velutine branches. In the initial phase it is a little sensitive to the sun, but soon it adapts to full sun, and can also be grown in partial shade. Adapts well to a variety of soils, reacting well to frequent fertilization. Endemic to Rio de Janeiro, in the Atlantic Rain Forest, where it is quite rare. Species described at the end of the 19th century, from fertile branches (with flowers), but without observation of the fruits. Of these, only one report by the late botanist Dimitri Sucre was known in the early 1970s, without ever having been documented.

THIS SALE WILL START NOW 4/12/2023 AND END IN SEVEN DAYS, ON 4/19/2023 AT MIDNIGHT!!

That is a project I have been doing off and on for about 6 months. I totally agree especially with the amount of species that have been available over the last few months. I have the next three days off work and will get back to this and try to create something. I appreciate the input from everyone and stay tuned! If anyone needs some info or photos ASAP reach out on our support page and I will send them to you directly until I can get this worked out. Thank you and have a great weekend! (New drop coming soon)

Thank you all for the kind comments, it means the world. auction page and seed shop have been updated. Thank you!

Good stuff
Not at $50 per seed :o Iíve heard of inflation but damn!

I agree with you, itís to much for a seed. Itís been hard, for me at least, to even find these available. And then itís been hard to get them in good shape. Before I listed any of this specie I let them germinate first. Iíve imported these multiple times and they either arrived already dead, or never germinated for me. I finally got a good batch, after purchasing and importing around 5-6 different times.
