Every Time I collected them I prick my fingers badly. Although I use garden gloves. Do you guys have any technique.?

How to remove thorns off dragon fruit before harvesting.

I actually find the thorns super annoying to deal with even if they rub off easily its still a hassle. Frankies red veriety tastes pretty good but it has the thorns also. Im gonna get rid of it just because of the thorns. Paloras same issue. Plus the seasonal issues with them fruiting into winter, they may be hitting the dumpster soon too :'(

On any cactus fruit that is particularly spiny, I have had good luck with hitting it quickly with a blow torch. I do this for opuntia which has those particularly annoying hair like thorns that you can't really see. It will at least take the edge of the spine off and make it more dull. I then will use a pair of metal kitchen tongs to twist it off.

Thanks for your suggestions.
