Bump for tonight. Will be doing a Q&A after the presentation.

Can you make this like one of those Fathom Events? Instead of showing Opera at the movie theaters, we could stream your event?

JK, I hate my state

Not familiar with Fathom.
Anytime I do a paid talk for a group or club I leave it up to them as far as sharing the content. Since they obviously want to incentivize people to join/attend their meetings.

But the stuff I do with Fruitful Trees and Paul Nison gets posted on YouTube. We’ll probably do at least one Q&A stream about mangos before the season and I’ll try to remember post about it beforehand on here.

I was just making a joke, trying to highlight the specialness. In the movie theatres, sometimes they have ads for Phanthom Events likes seeing "Phantom of the Opera" by a famous theatre troupe. Maybe it's a west coast thing.

Folks,
The order has been sent to the exporter with the number of 800 trees.
This is probably the last order of Yangmei trees I do for the community. We are aiming to get our trees in mid-January, 2023.

Thank you all for the support and happy new year!

Bill

Hats off for organizing this again. Can't thank you enough for the selfless hours you have put in.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Pink pineapple experience

Mine was very sweet with little to none of the typical pineapple tang. It was more expensive when I purchased it a few years ago. I would buy it again for $8 for a special occasion.

I was able to pay successfully through Zelle. Does $50 include the shipping for out of state?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Good rootstock for Myrciaria sp. Roxa?
« on: November 26, 2022, 09:55:13 PM »
No need to rootstock this particular species. There are reports that it flowers at the 3 year mark and can fruit the next year.  Taste reports on this one is that it is one of the best tasting myciaria. I grow 20 of them and keeping them all. They are beautiful and the taste report I got is from someone I trust.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Jabuticaba soil mixes used
« on: November 03, 2022, 02:20:19 PM »
I have had really good luck with FoxFarm Ocean Forest mixed with pumice / perlite / sand / peat in various amounts. Can't really go wrong in my opinion for jabos with this soil.

The most important part of using peat based mixes, in my experience, is to not up pot the plant too early otherwise it'll get waterlogged in the soil and have issues. I have made this mistake a lot in the earlier part of my planting career but getting a lot better and being patient now.

This took me the past two summers to kinda figure out. I seemingly kept overwatering on really hot days

Lol I mislabeled my Giant Paun as "Giant Praun" . I thought it was either from Australian or District 9.
