A good grafting time is when the bark peels easily off the cambium. Otherwise you'll spend some time to remove the bark.

927
When you peel the bark off, what's left on the branch is all cambium. No need to line up the scion.

I agree. Lately I've been using potting soil since that is what I have.

I used potting soil on guava 3 weeks ago. Seems fine.

I put new potting soil in pot, trying to alleviate leaves drooping and dropping after cutting branch off tree.

Low and slow release.
Since you added rabbit manure that would be enough.

I air-layered trees with potting soil, the one with fertilizer.
Bag claimed there is enough fertilizer to feed 6 months.

I pot newly cut ones in the same potting soil.

You pot your tree in dirt?

If this season's new growth on the atemoya is six feet or more, you can prune it back to 4-5 feet, and then remove two leaves, starting two leaves back from the cut.

I've experimented with removing leaves from different positions from cut. I've not come up with a good method.

What's the reason for skipping the first 2 leaves after cut?

I would remove the brown part and the big branch. Keep that small branch with 1 leaf.
The tree would put out many new shoots.

After you cut the branch off don't water much since the tree has 1 leaf to evaporate water.

According to this article http://www.apaari.org/wp-content/uploads/downloads/2014/02/Wax-Apple-Industry-in-Taiwan_15-2-2014.pdf

Cover tree with black net for 20-40 days then light pruning and add fertilizer.
I'm not sure if the heat buildup from black net or low light help.

2. Leaves support the tree so leave them on.

939
Only got 3/9 grafts in early February, on in-ground trees. Got 3/6 in May, on in-ground trees. 2/8 on 2 big trees, in May. A little better on potted seedlings.

11 HP is equivalent to 8 KW.
How many KW is your motor?

941
It's not hydroponic. It's wasting water.

Look very similar. We got cutting from friends and family.
So we don't know V.

We are copying you all to water DF everyday. Many fruits this year than previous years.
