Mangos are extremely sweet none below 22 brix but Jalisco roja is a record breaker sweetest fruit I’ve ever recorded. Jalisco guavas this year is the best fruit I’ve had in 2018
So I repeated again and it register an eye popping 37.8 brix!!!!
Patrick, post a photo please if you can. Also can you ship up to poway or are they pickup only?Hi Brad, sorry i do'not know how to do photos yet. also those all left this morning however i will be having some larger ones soon. Patrick
They are easy to root and I found you don't even need to use rooting powder. They will produce roots in a glass of water but make sure to use cuttings that are not too woody and more herbaceous and also take the ones closest the base of the plant or near the roots. I think the only issue is when you switch environments like if its from a greenhouse with high humidity to outside with lower relative humidity. You will then notice some leaf drop. It was humid all summer here in Florida and once I noticed them rooting in a glass of water i transplanted them into a small pot with soil and had no problems with them losing any leaves.
Was the flower purple?
Yup
Do you still have cuttings?
both my varieties are striving in san diego, the ones at my parents house has been pushing fruit
I would sort out how many branches you got that are within 1 feet of trunk length, clear out all branches that are lower than 12-18 inches, have first spread above ground 12-18 inches max with 3 to 4 equally spaced branches all around, then those branches cut them at 12" - 18" length and expose leaf nodes at the ends no more than 3 nodes. you will start to get a nice low canopy. Most my cherimoya form and produce fruit under 6 feet, rest is all junk growth.
