Trading; Midgen Berry ( Austromyrtus Dulcis)
« on: June 26, 2015, 11:11:15 PM »

One of the few Australian 'bushtucker' foods that are eaten fresh out of hand. Taste is aromatic, creamy and with a ginger note. Attractive small shrubbing plant with ornamental flowers. Good groundcover. Very attractive to birdlife.

I'm collecting Australian fruits to become part of the collection on display at the Fruit & Spice Park in Florida.  What sort of seeds would you be interested in trading for?

I have tasted these and while they are not large fruits, they are decent. The flavor reminds me of the white chrysobalanus icaco.

why would anyone trust someone who's been banned?

are you saying you are the same person as Starling1?

and Sternus1 on daleys?

Lucas is your real name?

PM sent.

That would appear to be incorrect, Adam.

Also--seeds traded, won't have more until next year. Sorry to everyone who missed out on the small leaf tamarind, seeds are hard to get as there is only about 100 trees left in the wild. If I get more, I'll list them but this is unlikely.

Funtokens (Starling1, aka Sternus1, real name Lucas) has already been banned (he is trying to instigate trouble for members and the whole forum)

he keeps recreating his account after they delete it.

If I were starling1, the people who have traded with that member probably care more about trading seeds than site politics and would be aware that starling1 wasn't banned for being a bad or unreliable trader, but for having running afoul of the moderators--having successfully traded seeds with said member many, many times. That is, most people seem to care more about sharing seeds than virtual conflicts which they share no part in. That's what it's all about, right? :)

ok Starling's mom,

please tell him to stop pestering forum members, and to stop registering new aliases after he has been banned several times already (funtokens has been banned too, but it was registered again soon after, I think 2-3 times already?)

I know you are trying to help him by defending him, and creating an account so he can have something positive to do in his life, but he is obviously in opposition with the administrators of this forum, and several of the most upstanding members.  He's trying to stir up drama (after he has been told to leave)...this type of behavior is unwelcome here.

We know he has struggled with some personal issues, but this is no excuse for the type of behavior your son has exhibited here on the forum.

I'm not sure how trading extremely rare seeds, extremely well, is causing trouble for the forum. Surely I'm contributing, don't you think?

I did not say I was starling1, your words, not mine.

If anyone is interested in seeds of this species I will have them soon (maybe 30-40 days or less). My tree is flowering now

Honestly the fruit is of poor quality, and not worth eating in my opinion, but I still grow the plant because it's easy to grow and beautiful...and hard to find in USA ..also I'm sure it has some unique medicinal qualities

well I was just trying to trade some seeds with him however after reading the discussion I've decided to stop momentarily

did anyone here who ever trade with him want to the defend for this person?

Actually he really has some thing that I really want!

if it's the seeds of this fruit, Austromyrtus dulcis, I will have them later this season (30-50days?), I can send you some for free, just pay shipping.

the person you were about to trade with has been acting maliciously within the tropical fruit community.

He has been banned from the forum after several warnings, and blacklisted from some of the most reputable seed sellers in the world.

he has made veiled threats to me, and other upstanding members of the forum.

but with all of this said, I have not heard this member has a reputation of ripping people off, and they may have seeds you want.

(this is the same person as Starling, Starling1, and Funtokens....he keeps creating new accounts after he has been banned, trying to stir up trouble, and conflicts.)
