Hello,
I grew the vine on the right from a seed of a grocery store fruit. The seedling showed pronounced red pigment in the veins more so than my other edulis vine from a seed of a different fruit. The flower on the left looks like your typical edulis flower.
My guess is the seed grown vine on the right came from a "possum purple" or "frederick's" variety, my observation based on looking at flowers through google images lol. Maybe it is displaying a mutation for higher anthocyanins (what could cause the red veins and purple stigmas)?
Thanks for any suggestions!
