Pitangatuba
« on: October 25, 2021, 03:05:39 PM »
Hi, I have a couple pitangatuba shrubs and one of them is dropping leaves and some are turning brownish or curling. Not sure if the ph isn't correct or if it needs fertilizer or if its a watering issue but I am growing them in peat moss. If anyone has any insight on this issue please respond, thanks. I've included photos along with a photo of the whole shrub.

hmm what is this white mold? did you spray it with something or is it powdery mildew?

This seems normal to me. Mine dropped a ton of leaves earlier this year and then sprang right back with nice new growth - I see the same nice new growth up top, so, I don't think this out of the ordinary. I up potted mine from the nursery pot and it's much happier now.

In my experience pitangatubas are sensitive to overfertilization. If it can't seem to take up enough water that'd be my guess. It doesn't look bad to me at this point, but the leaves do look a bit thin/dehydrated.
