Hello All,
Thanks for all of your kind comments.
For those of you that asked about my potting mix, it is something that I have been using for a while and haven't changed for a long time. I do a lot of composting and have 3 compost bins going at all times. From them, I get some of the richest nicest compost I've seen. I also get a soil mix from a local nursery that is just up the street from my house. They let me take as much recycled potting soil from them for free. I also buy a Kellog product that come in 3 cubic yard bags called N'Rich that works excellent for drainage and breaking up heavy clay soil. So I mix equal parts of my compost, the recycled soil I get from the nursery, the Kellogg's "N'Rich", and Bone Meal. That's it, nothing to complicated.
As for Fertilizer, I use 5-1-1 Fish Emulsion and Vigoro 6-4-6 slow release fertlizer, again nothing special.
Richard - The Cabelluda is doing great. It's getting huge and is flowering right now. I will post some pics of it soon so that you can see what I am talking about.
Rodney - My Green Sapote has not flowered yet.
Kimi - MY Barbados Cherry and Jaboticabas actually stay outside year-round. I only moved my Grumichama inside the greenhouse during the Artic Freeze we had this past winter. Otherwise it stays outside.
Cuban007 - Thanks! Yes, the moajority of my stuff is in pots, I am starting to put some stuff in the ground but slowly. It is mainly so that I can move and protect them during freezes.
Felipe - I still have a couple Pindaibas but lost the Abiurana not too long ago. I am not sure why, but it just started to decline until it died. I'll post some pics of the Pindaiba soon.
intel415 - You can pick up Air-layered Wampees at Mimosa in LA. Mine hasn't flowered but it grows like crazy. If I hadn't pruned it back several times, it would be 20 feet tall.
Thanks again everyone for your kind words. More pics to come!
