Black discoloration on trunk of mango tree
« on: February 06, 2012, 03:05:41 AM »
Hi!  Just wondering if the black/gray discoloration on the trunk/stem of my mango tree is normal or some type of disease:

Thanks!

Herman

Its pretty normal to see, I believe its caused by nursery watering practices...

I think it's sooty blotch. Carrie is prone to that. You can ignore it, as it has no detrimental effect.
