Skandiberg:
That's cool!

It's a miraculous seedling, congrats! I hope it will grow well enough in your warm climate to start fruiting soon. Please let us know about the further development of your seedling. I assume its hardiness will be quite good.

BeyondOrganicLife:
Thanks, I will. And if it turns out to be something good I will spread the seeds around. It's definitely been tested by heat and cold.

Skandiberg:
Oh, that sounds very promising! Thanks for sharing. Now we just need to know what the fruit is like...

a_Vivaldi:
I wonder what the odds where with that seeding? Cara Cara rarely has seeds at all, let alone viable ones. And this one ended up being a zygotic seed. And it just so happened to be pollinated by a citrange of some kind.

I know, right. We literally ate about 10 or more bags of the organic sunkist cara Caras before I found it. There were actually two seeds in one orange, but one died after we got hit by herbicide, it lived a while but slowly died. But this one pulled through. Kind of felt like I found the golden ticket.  My best guess is they missed pruning a rootstock sprout somewhere in the Grove and it pollinated the fruit. They were not pyembryonic seeds either. Only one sprout per seed.
