Hah, I forgot about that taste report, I guess I had already commented on it... and my suspicions confirmed.  What a large eugenia fruit, though, I was imagining it much smaller

Love your optimism.  Variability sure, but no detectable sweetness and sour like a lemon?  What are the chances the reviewer got the worst selection of this fruit?

Pitangatuba's in ground have been flowering for me the last few weeks:




Eugenia Stipitata starting to kick off for the year as well.  Only gotten 2 fruits off this thing so far.  As mentioned before, they are extremely sour but the flavor is outstanding:

Probably pretty low. And what are the chances I have a tasty excellent one? Probably even lower. More open-minded than optimistic =)

I'm guess I'm still pretty interested in how the flavor is if it's sour, I'm always looking for more fruit to use in juicing.
