Hey my fruit growing friends,
I have 50 plus Psidium australe var australe seeds that were cleaned the best I could, then dried for a day and placed in the fridge. These seeds came from fruit off my plant produced 2 months ago so very fresh. The fruit’s pulp taste really good to me, I’d say like a key lime pie filling mixed with pear and texture of pear. Psidium seeds can be stored for well over a year with very little drop of germination rate. The seeds I germinated from the previous year’s harvest of my plant had a very high germination rate of over 75%. I recommend soaking the seeds in water 24 to 36hrs and sow very shallow in a community pot with a clear bag on top or in humidity dome to keep from drying out. Spray when soil mix starts looking dry. They can be plucked right out after sprouting and planted individually if you want. Or separated later after all germinate. I’ve also germinated small batches of seeds up to 20 kept on lightly damp paper towel in ziplock bags. Ideal temperature to germinate is around 77F constant with some light during day or around 68f at night to 86f days if no light. I will send in a regular mail envelope inside a card. These are small hard seeds. Send payment after delivery to make sure it arrives as it should. Any ? please ask and have a great day.
