For some reason its new leaf growth is weird. It’s almost as if it is covered in some wax or sap that restricts the leaf’s expansion and growth.

So recently I’ve been contemplating adding a jackfruit tree to my yard here in Cali(I know temp. And all protect and so on). Anyways, I’ve been checking some online nurseries such as plantogram and toptropicals. I know shipping stresses the plants and I’m not concerned with that. I’m concerned if what I’m ordering is truly the variety I ordered. I was going to order a Honey Gold Jackfruit but I’ve seen that mislabeling is a problem in most of these places. So which one is the least prone? I mentioned two nurseries maybe there are more online ones so suggestions are appreciated.

I know these are varieties that are protected but I’ve seen a few people growing them from seed since they are poly embryonic. I want to try and see if I can get my hands on some seeds maybe just couple.

I just got a soncoya fruit to see if I like it. I didn’t care much for the taste unfortunately. Anyways, I was left with around 25 seeds which I’m contemplating germinating or not. I might grow one tree to maturity just as a collection piece. However I was wondering if soncoya is a good Rootstock for any other Annona species. I saw a few old posts here but no answers except for one individual saying they thought they got a geffner atemoya on soncoya rootstock just to discover it wasn’t. So does anyone know their comparability?

I’m looking for a few seeds maybe 5-10. I ordered recently from a seller and it took over. a month and all I got was a heap of rotting plants. They were already germinating and rotted in transit. So I don’t mind paying for express shipping if need be.
