Passiflora laurifolia Triangular fruits shape

Hi everyone,

I am from France and I am in island of Guadeloupe, in the Caribbean sea, to spend some holidays. There I noticed a Passiflora laurifolia with weird fruits shape - see the photo.
( If someone is interested by seeds, message me to buy some ).

What does the inside of the fruit look like? They appear very similar the Jatropha multifida seed pods. Definitely would like ro see the internal structure of the fruits.

If you grow the seeds im curious to see if it comes true

They tasted great, I could eat hundreds..   unfortunately there was not so many fruits.. and since I had to collect seeds from them, I couldn't eat more :/

I will keep you up to date on this thread, if the seeds come true. Others forumers who received seeds from me could also tell us if they get triangular fruits from their plants..

I gave the rest of the seeds I had, to the PSI ( Passiflora Society International ). I don't know the name they gave to them in their seeds bank however..

Personally, I didn't sow any seeds of this species, since I don't have enough room, a proper place to grow them..
