Help....what's going on with my atemoya tree?
« on: June 08, 2023, 09:34:40 AM »
This started happening about a month ago when the new growth started emerging.    I thought it was maybe iron so I gave it some chelated iron about 3 weeks ago.  It didn't seem like it was working.  So next I that maybe magnesium so I gave it epsom salt about a week ago.  I then noticed even the clovers underneath the tree started looking the same.   The two longan trees next to it is fine even the clovers underneath the longans are fine.   Lie always your help is always appreciated.

Your tree is moving N from older leaves to feed new leaves.
You could spread a little chicken shit around the tree.
Flood the fertilizer to move it down into the roots.

The leaves should green up in a few days.

Is your soil dry or soggy? If it’s soggy and it doesn’t dry out enough in between waterings or rain then you might have root rot. Damaged roots can’t absorb nutrients effectively even if you fertilize them. As for your longans, maybe the roots are better adapted at handling the current conditions.

I checked today and soil is good.  After I thought about it a bit I thought it was that too but I checked and soil is nice and fluffy in the top foot of my soil.   Tomorrow I dig a little deeper to see.
