Can this feijoa be saved?
« on: October 24, 2021, 11:15:37 AM »
I have two feijoas that I got online, one is very healthy and sturdy, and this other one completely died after a day, probably due to complications from shipping  :'(
But I’ve noticed some new growth on it now, do you think it can be saved?

If it is trying to push out new growth, then yes, it might make it. Your soil looks very dark, like it is too wet; make sure it is moist but not saturated with water. The photo looks like it was taken indoors. It might need more humidity than you are providing for it inside. If it is still warm and humid enough outside, place it in a sheltered location away from strong winds and full sun. It could need to be covered with a makeshift humidity dome, if that fails. If the soil is too wet, do not cover the soil since it needs to dry, just the plant. Your plant is in bad shape, so it will be touch-and-go whether it makes it.
