I didn't know that was a thing. The mangos look great, nice work! Is that a pickering? My little tree is loaded with pickering. I just ate a sapodilla and was better than any doughnut could ever be.

Nice! Most of the mangos I have access to are still green.

I don't understand the reference or relevance.

Donut peaches on the other hand...
Eugenia luschnathiana = CURUIRI.    Talisia esculenta = PITOMBA
I do not recommend people deal with Fruit Lovers, Prisca Mariya or Fernando Malpartida

Though a donut fan, I'd take a FL mango over one any day.

Mango Stein: your footer is so great, I have many Brazilian friends who know of talisia as pitomba and have no idea what I'm talking about when I say pitomba, speaking of no relevance. Thanks for letting me know it's Curuiri!

The one thing that grinds my gears is how they spell. For example Dunkin Donuts vs Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. 😆 why confuse people like that?

My wife prefers the cake donuts as well as ice cream with multiple tastes vs. my favorite vanilla bean.

Down to business buddy, She & You are WRONG... haha... just kidding... Everyone is right on their taste bud palate...

So far 8am Glen mango & 11am finished off the 2 delicious Glazed donuts after 30 sec. microwave meltdown.

My sister-in-law perfers the Dunkin cake type donuts... I don't understand it. Wal-Mart donuts aren't too bad, just not top tier to put it in mango terms.  ;)

Actually, what we need on this thread is a recipe for mango donuts. I'm thinking mango filling or even a mango glaze. Now that would be something!

I enjoy the vanilla cream filled glazed type donuts and it would be easy to change the filling to mango flavors.

But a lot of the current cream fillings taste awful and I usually do not want to chance it.

Just remember to keep the dough as glazed doughy is the best.  ;)

Krispy Kreme came to Australia about 10 years ago. It was a big hype at the time. They are sold about 100 km from here, so we sometimes get them if we are going past.
Australia also has food vans selling hot strawberry jam filled donuts. They are flat tennis ball sized, not donut shaped.
( After we closed the Hole in the Ozone Layer, we then closed the Hole in the Donut. ).
Pineapple icing glazed donuts from 7-11 were very popular, especially with pot smokers with the late night munchies.

Krispy Kream has those, too. They are even the shape you describe. I wonder if they brought that idea back from Australia...

I keep these chilled in the fridge. Hard to pass them up at Publix.

Mind you all that a quick Googling for 'mango' + 'doughnut' popped up a whole passel of mango doughnut recipes, including mango glazed ones and some with mango fillings.

I cannot imagine making any of these mango doughnut recipes myself but the various photos of them online look scrumptious.  And even though I'm highly unlikely to make any I'd sure gobble 'em up if they were available anywhere nearby.

I do however see mango ice cream and sherbet are available commercially but they've been dispapoiningly bland.  Sounds like something to make at home where one can make it from scratch with enough mango.

Now it is just a matter of waiting for my several mango cultivars to make me enough fruit to experiment making some ice cream or sorbet.

Yumm!

Mango ice cream or froz yogurt's easy.
Go healthy frozen yogurt & your froz mango pieces in blender.

As a kid i loved chocolate glazed creme filled donuts.
Jelly donuts were great too.

I don't see mango & donut in same space.  But then i never had home grown mango jelly filled chocolate covered donut.  Hmm...

I'd rather enjoy this years mango experience all over again lol.
I need a donut.

I wish I had a donut if I did it would be coconut. As of right now I have two eggo waffles with peanut butter and since we don't have any jelly cream cheese. Most importantly coffee time for rock and roll.
