Roadside guava with red skin

Southern California, noticed it while on a highway off-ramp (it was hanging over the wall that separates the highway from the yard the tree is planted in). A smaller one of the fruits had fallen to the ground. I tried the fallen fruit and it was good. Not amazing but good. Reminded me of Mexican cream guava you can find for sale at Hispanic grocery stories around here.
