Bring it on!  I can't help but think this will help with the 2025 mango crop.  ;D

nearly 3 weeks uninterrupted of sub 60 temps by me. I'd be surprised if panicles aren't beginning to push before Christmas on most trees. A large neighborhood Pim Seng Mun tree had about 40% nearly open bloom on Thanksgiving

Haven't noticed panicles yet, but can see lil nubbins ready to push all over the place. With the weather we've had, would be shocked to not have a good bloom soon. Had 4 shirts on and a jacket yesterday, its been cold!

I'm personally looking forward to 2025 after the powdery mildew and anthracnose outbreak of 2024.

My friend in Leesburg says he's getting 50's at night and 70's during the day. His trees 🌳 are happy.

Edward is starting to push, and Sugar Loaf has a few as well.

Thats weird. Im about an hour south-east of Leesburg and we have gotten several nights in the upper 30s and frost at least two nights with most nights in the last two weeks in the 40s at night. He should have been colder than me unless he lives right by a lake in a warm microclimate. My tropical almond has decided its issue for me and it will be removed and put into a pot if it survives the winter. Rainbow Eucalyptus is once again frozen back to the trunk and my bananas and Juman tree are not happy. Aside from some tropical flowering trees in pots caught out by the first surprise frost I havent taken any other damage I know of so far. My mangos show no sign of having been hit by the frost, nor does the neighboring African Tulip which I figured would should damage pretty quick. Just the tropical almond however in that area of the yard. This reminds me I need to go strip my apple tree which is in between all of these, it still thinks its summer.

Perhaps the lakes around Leesburg are helping mitigating the temperatures.

It must be a lake microclimate effect. Gary is  Viet Nam vet who recently got a hip replacement.  I does imagine he's protecting his trees. Children and Grandchildren's contribution is eating the fruit. He used to get mangoes 🥭 from me before they sold and headed north.

Edward, SL, and now Glenn pushing here.

Not 100% sure, but seems SL might be pushing on some green newer growth. Would be nice if this was like Edward in such regard.

...and now add Ceci Love to the mix as well, woohoo! Just checked and found buds.

That's good. Abrupt change, from warm to cold, with a few cold nights in a row. Recipe for a lovely bloom event.

We usually hit about 3 - 4 degrees F below the local listed temps, on cold nights. Not sure why, but multiple thermometers agree.  With the blooms already starting to show, and cold on the way, hope is in the air (along with PM).

PPK is starting to push for me.  The longest buds are around 3/4” long. Angie buds are swollen and a few have just started pushing.

Jacksonville saw mid 30's and lite frost. My mangoes powered through it. Bananas had tip burn but everything is growing. Cassava drop a lot of leaves. 70 and sunny now, Bananas and mangoes are still pushing new leaves!   :)

"Looks like another cold front is coming through late Thursday- early Friday."

Looks like Accuweather is predicting 42° for Orangetree so that probably means about 38° for the Eastern Golden Gate Estates. This will be our third night in the 30's this winter.

Hey,  we're neighbors, I must live south of you I haven't seen 30s yet this year.

I'm thinking of setting up a digital gauge in the middle of the grove.

Hopefully this round of cold will entice Juliette and Keitt to form some bloom buds. 54°F in the garden this morning. Tomorrow forecasted to be 53°F. ❤️
