I wanted a Pickering but this is all I could locate.
You can guess what mango this is
Hard to see but has three mangos hanging that must be cut off... :(
Drip irrigation is via the plastic gallon bottles that milk and apple cider come in. Prick the bottom or lowest low down on the side. Use the most tiny safety pin. Even then do not do a full shove in. The smallest prick means the longest lasting drip

Why wait so late to cut the green fruits off?
I had tried this pin holes water bottle before, but the issue is the small holes got clogged up too easy by anything, aelgy, debris.

Just bought it, just planted so I like looking at the fruits. But they are all going to be cut off in a day or two. I shall see what happens with my dripping water jugs

Cut it now to take the stress off it and stop the energy going to the fruit.
In this weather we are having, I would ditch the drip and just water it in every other or third day or so with a hose. It will be better off.

Thanks! The faucet and hose are close by so I will water new mango tree your way. Cut off the fruits. Going to place the drip irrigation jugs by another tree that hose has trouble getting to.

Highly recommend a mycorrhizal fungi drench at the time of planting. This is what I've been using for years. Got it at Amazon and store in the fridge. 1 heaping tsp/gallon as a backfill drench.

Wish they would publish the ingredients, not that we have a lab to verify their claims. Problem with this supplement industry is it's not regulated by a non-partisan, non profit lab. FWIW I spoke to a micro-biologist about trichoderma which is found in many of these products. According to him it's a pollutant and works against the fungi. I have no clue about that to be honest......
Since the fungi doesn't like sun scratch the soil before drenching it. Best drenched at the time of planting.
Yeah, ditch the jugs. Garden hose is the way to go.
Contrary to the high P "makes good roots" hype driven by fertilizer labels, N is your most important macro for root development AND vigor, which your fave needs now. With myco fungi innoculation never feed your fave with a high P food, at least not now before the colony is established.
