Must work both ways, as trees can harmonize us.

Can't explain it, but I'm happier and more at ease around plants and in my yard/garden.

Reminds me of the Japanes practice of Shinrin-yoku
https://www.japan.travel/en/guide/forest-bathing/

My wife argues it is insufficient, and that I should take a real shower or bath.

Yeah, I doubt there's anyone else on here who enjoys spending time out in nature, especially being out amongst the garden they're nurturing. I myself hate it. Seeing a beetle possibly pollinating a Peanut Butter Fruit tree blossom angers me.

An Eastern Glass Lizard enjoying the early morning hours disgusts me to no end.

A bell pepper gets my blood boiling.

What the hell is a pretty butterfly doing in my yard?!

My vine is covered in all of these damn passionfruit flowers, which I hate with a passion.

And the fact that I still have Neelam mangos ripening on the tree makes me want to burn everything to the ground.

lol, Fliptop! Stomp them flowers!

In addition to growing nutritious food/fruit, microbes in the soil appear to be correlated with lower rates of depression. Gardening feels good because it is good.

Would coal ash from a fire pit work?

My friend Scott from Deerfield Beach claims that he yodels to his trees

Seriously though, I have been know to give my trees and plants some real hugs and kisses! Love the T. C Singh Classical Music experiment as well...

I read Something like that Was going to mention the same with being in the garden ,
and soil microbes being absorbed though the skin  or nose.

I known about folk lore where they say sleep under a Elderberry Bush, and you'll have strange dreams.
I suppose people know about stress levels going down away from the city lights

When I bike ride which also releases endorphins from the exercise
I do ((edit not) use a light on my bicycle in the darkest of the woods.
(I know the trials ,  but still do fall sometimes)

Way less at ease riding through a place with street lights even a calm place.

I am sure people known about tree's communicating with one another
(also through the mycelium net work underground

When a giraffe starts chewing acacia leaves, the tree notices the injury and emits a distress signal in the form of ethylene gas. Upon detecting this gas, neighboring acacias start pumping tannins into their leaves. In large enough quantities these compounds can sicken or even kill large herbivores.

OMG the nature pics are awesome.  I’m pretty sure Everyone loves nature. I agree Rob.  LOL  this thread is about “harmonizing trees” and consciousness. Rubbing compost (humus) around the trunk of your fruit trees is harmonizing trees.  Does anyone else do this to their tropical fruit trees?  It kinda looks like crap.lol

Your post must of been lingering in my conscious I posted

I've always liked going barefoot.  It makes me feel more connected to the earth.  My wife thinks it's dirty and uncivilized.  "Ew! Your feet are so black!" (meaning the soles)

You know, it could have been possible.  That's the year I graduated from high school.   But NY is a long way from L.A., and I was working two jobs that summer.

Something crazy which is not intended to upset anyone.  Go harmonize with trees.  It’s a full time job here.  LOL

I know what your saying except
When I was in the city I was dealing with city lights
prying eyes
I did think I would of coarse be at more at peace

with being in the country

On A farm
I started out fine, and dandy just doing my thing
making robots out of card board boxes from used tea boxes
with a  opening stomach , and all to put stuff in it.
Not much to do on the farm , but play guitar, and write notes
which I'm fine with

Then In Enjoyed picking berries
Oh the Joy I felt

Then Like in the city With prying eyes
Those birds yes Right when I was in the house
They were looking at me
Waiting

waiting for me to do whatever
they were stealing all those berries

Could not use the bathroom , or keep the blinds open
in the middle of no where they were waiting for me
to make a move

One more stressful thing I have to deal with
I cried Thought it was so easy on a farm.

I have heard all the traffic ,
well I tell you those dang crickets keep chirping
a ringing in my ear
who Can I sue not the Illinois  department of transportation
I was feeling helpless

So I do not know what your all  devious  about that nature stuff sure does stink.

Years ago
I picked a lot if wild ones,

You ever pick (spelling(
Driards saddle

Tastes like wet dog (skins or somethings)

You soak in apple cider vinegar,
with olive oil , and balsalmic vinegar (not for the whole day(

Fry it tastes like chicken skins (the best part)
if you add to omlets it is good too.

(recipe modified from New York plant forger (Oh Steve brill)

Ever take a Morel out of a bag
After It dried

It is magical
The spores in the light come out, and pollute the earth
it is amazing to see them float out of the bag.

I did plant some of that dust (it takes two years )
according to a book in a library

Mine were discarded .
get about a table spoon out of a shrooom.

They are almost worth as much as a black truffle per ounce. Fried pumpkin or squash blossoms are not bad either :)

John, you must have been really into your work, but not geography or summer of love, as the Woodstock festival was in NY state.
