Everyone has their own opinion on the value of cuttings.

Started the bid at $1 and Iíll let the masses decide what itís worth, no reserve.

All thatís guaranteed is that youíre bidding on a real cutting of Ohana Express.

Some rareness up for auction this week on eBay.

Nice thick cutting, approximately 20Ē long.

Mother plant comes from a cutting that was acquired from the one and only Spicy Exotics!

No reserve, starts at only $1! Someone may get a steal:

Tropical Fruit Buy, Sell & Trade / Re: Pineapple pups
« on: July 22, 2021, 05:36:32 AM »
Hi Brad,

How long will pups to fruit?  If one or two years, I will take them all.

Thanks,
Al

It depends, but in Florida you can definitely get them to start growing fruit within 2 years. Not sure if it would take longer in Cali. Iíve seen pineapple tops start fruiting in 12 months in Florida

Frank, around what age did your Coronata Restinga start to produce for you? Also, was it from seed or graft?

Coronata Restinga seems to vary quite a bit on fruiting age, from what Iíve seen others report

Mine is grafted on Sabara and I got it 5-6 years ago from Adam as a 1 or 3 gallon (I forget :P). First flowerings this year. I'm guessing that TFF member Achetadomestica tree it is from the same batch.

Wow, 5-6 years from graft, thatís almost what the seedlings are ďsupposedĒ to produce in. Thanks for the info!

Just wanted to say thanks to Frank - mangos were delicious and scions were perfect 👍🏼

This is my second or third time buying from Frank and Iím always satisfied 👍🏼

Ya about 4ish feet when the reds start fruiting iv herd.

It really depends. I have seen reds over 5 feet that have yet to bloom.

Some bloom smaller than 3 feet.

If you can provide proof of shipment ó PayPal will not take the funds out of your account. Process would then shift to the shipping company, in this case USPS.

Still appreciate the heads up though!

I have a mature mexicola avocado tree and I donít pick until fully purple. Iíve noticed irregular ripening if picked green. I wait until the avocado comes away by lifting it up and having the panicle snap the fruit loose.

How different are these from the palora?

Theyíre similar in sweetness. Smaller and less productive from what I have seen.

Interested in a Patupi (short cycle) banana plant?

I know youíre not really supposed to sell these, so figured Iíd put them up for trade.

I have a bunch of really nice Coconut Cream scions available for trade. Some big, some small ó let me know what youíre looking for.

Currently interested in atemoya (fruit or trees), jaboticaba (scions/seedlings), fruit (what do you have?) and certain dragonfruit cuttings. Let me know what you have and if youíre looking to graft some Coconut Cream mango trees!

Thanks

Ofdsurfer thanks for posting the sheet!

I snagged a Restinga, Grimal and ESALQ. All were well over 10Ē, probably 2-3 year old trees in a 3gal

Hello,

Iím looking to trade my 7gal butterscotch/Morena  sapodilla. The tree was very recently up potted from a 3gal and I have attached pictures of it below.

The main, center branch is grafted with Butterscotch sapodilla and a couple other branches have Morena. You can keep it as a cocktail or elect to let the main branch grow out as Butterscotch only.

Not looking to ask the crazy $$ these are selling for, instead I would rather trade.

I would really like to get a Grimal jaboticaba tree with some size to it, 3-4 years old. I may also entertain some other jaboticaba offers. Let me know what you have!

I am located in Palm Bay, on the Space Coast.

I am thinking you may not have had the right scion grafted to your Mexicola.

That is exactly the opposite experience we've had with ours.  Mexicola is one of my favorite avocados by far.

I find it difficult to eat some other varieties due to how good they are.  Mexicola Grande is also quite good--like Spaugh said, though, it is a monster of a tree and needs space to stretch its legs.

Your experience is similar to mine, one of my absolute favorites with the added benefit of being able to eat it out of hand like any other fruit!

it was 4 or 5 years old and pretty large.  i had several years straight with weak flowering and then fruit drop in october.  i think its too hot where I live, the bigger slwer ripening avocados do better here.  I could see it doing better closer to the ocean and further north.

Interesting, itís extremely productive for me on the Space Coast of Florida. Iíve progressively gotten more and more fruit from this tree every year.
