Here’s mine. And flowers buds. Sorry for the focus but you can see the typical flower is 2-3mm. The thick leaf seedling is almost 1cm.

There are some benefits using an interstock.
Say you have calcareous soil but can't use FD to dwarf the tree.

No way I would talk a knife to a two month old graft. So them both at once are wait a year.

Friend just did this with sone fruits and it’s pushing at least.

Hi Shane , it probably is the same as Jim's thick leaf as I got seeds in a seed swap of 7 varieties all at the same time and from 6 different people I do have at least 4 or 5 very distinct looking/shaped leaves and some really great fruit

So the graft was from a 'thick leaf' seedling? Not 'thick leaf' itself?

Patrick (buddy roo ) gave me a grafted ‘1 5/8’. Named after the size of fruit in inches. He can tell us more about the history.  I’m getting my first flowers now.

First here’s the flowers and buds of every other cultivar I have:

In california my memory (from touring one of the nurseries that does it) is that lemon's are rooted cuttings and everything else is grafted.

Thanks. We might just do F&S in homestead and call it good for there.

I am curious regarding the west palm nurseries what times they’re open. I saw Alex’s schedule from last year I think and it was midday on the weekend and afternoon/evening on weekdays. What about Zills Excalibur etc? Will I be able to bounce from place to place all day or will I have to chose one?

Probably Stuart/west palm on June 19th & 20th. I plan to stop by Alex‘s place. Who else has mangos to taste? Excalibur? Possibly some local grocery stores with good selections?

Next weekend in the keys/Miami. There’s a mango fest in key west I believe. Also fruit and spice park? Possibly Fairchild? But I think their tastings don’t start till July.
