I had to stump a tree but want to let it grow back, is there anything i can paint on wound to protect it.

Yes the bulbs are hard to the touch, the tree was in container in native soil mixed from yard, the tree was pushing new growth and look to be overall in good health but it did not exhibit the vigorous growth other seedlings have shown.

Guavas, had to bag every fruit from fruit fly and then would still find larvae in bagged fruit, I love eating them so may try again with one tree not ten lol

Water ph is around 8 here restinga, grimal and Cambucas have been tolerant of it

Id add jakfruit to the underrated list, but understandably so. Some cultivars mediocre on flavor and others are a pain to process the fruit out, but then you come across a easy peel absolutely delicious jak and doors to fruit heaven open.

“Peanut Butter Fruit”- Bunchosia argentea- High fat content ,decent (excellent imo) balanced avocado peanut/sweet peas flavor, fruit production nearly year round, can be blown over by hurricane and uprighted no problems, very filling can give you the farts.

Orinoco Banana, i find Orinoco n blue java perfect to stir fry in butter n cinnamon, produces year round.

In Downtown Fort Myers off MLK man there grows collard greens year round on his driveway, I was able to keep mine till May, I think the trick is to give them some shade during summer. In Georgia they also grow collards year round.

I would Amend soil and correct ph prior to planting with soil acidifier, aim for 6-6.5ph.

Its not even related to sapotes, Chocolate Persimmon a better name. The ripe fruit is full of potassium and carbs, gives you a boost of energy while the fiber and other nutrients are great for your gut. The taste is okay but I would eat just for the healt benefits alone.

Maybe it is just perception on my part.Science supports your claim, Stronger light intensity =increased photosynthesis= increased Glucose content in Fruit.

Would be hard to confirm you have a cold tolerant mango living in south Florida where it hardly drops below 40’. Id place the burden of developing cold tolerant variety on northern florida folks.

You’ll want the sop to look as tree fresh as possible, the black spotting is visual sign of decomposition process beginning, the inside of the sops would be near complete mush.
For Mamey I have found excellent fruit at the local spanish flea market. I go for the biggest mamey available and also look for one that feels slightly soft, you will want the fruit that has been allowed to mature fully on tree.

With Ilama you will want to mound the planting area or plant on a hill in well draining soil where there is no standing water.
I have also read they benefit from Iron rich soils.
The leaves will have a floppied wrinkled look when overwatered.
They have responded well to composted chicken manure.
