Plinia clausa and inflata have gigantic fruit and are supposedly delicious- Hapa Joe and Nate just did a review of the former but the latter might do better in your climate, especially if you want to put them outside
Whats your goal in the 4 additional vars?
different flavors? different blooming times? will these be going in the GH as well?

I agree with Mike, the red is a beast, so much fruit non-stop, nice looking tree also.
My personal favs are the PDM(blue velvet) and Spirito, they both put out super colorful leaves when they flush

I was tempted to wait till it fell off the tree. Would it be spoiled by then?Also when do I eat it?
I ate my scarlettes when they were red, heavy, chunky, juicy and big.For black varieties, it should be totally black, I guess...
I use nearly 100% peat with a little perlite mixed in. I’ll fertilize with hollytone but I’ve also used some osmocote with good success.

brown on the tips is from too much salt in your water most likely, or maybe sunburn
iron deficiency makes your plants bright yellow/white almost from chlorosis
Jabos seem not to like pH change at all in my experience so far, if you’ve added anything recently they may just be overreacting; would like someone that grows lots of jabos to weigh in on that though
Just got my first fruit 2 days ago. I used 40%peat potting mix, 40% pine bark, 10% vermicompost and 10% alfalfa meal.

Recently though I tried osmocote plus and I've been really happy with the results, go only like 1/3 - 1/2 what the cap says because I gave some plants N toxicity following the directions (maybe because I'm indoors though, I'm sure established ones would take it). Less mixing and less expensive
also I tried using 4 compost bags and 2 soil bags instead and liked the results better, plus even cheaper
I get 2 bags of compost, 4 bags of cheap potting soil, big bag of sphagnum moss, small bag of perlite, small bag of sand, and iron+calmag additive
mix the compost and soil first, add everything, and save perlite for last. Trust me if you put perlite in too early it becomes impossible to mix completely; makes ~100-120gal something like.
I use that as a base and then soil acidifier to target pH individually when potting for the first time, its a bit of work to mix it all but saves a ton of money in the long run
I would close and watch for mold, if mold starts i would open

My trees don't look alive. None of them has a green graft. it looks like they were scratched to check if the grafts were still alive before they were shipped. I wish you sent me at least one alive tree...
I did lots of preparations, even built a greenhouse, and at the end... Got dead trees !
Sorry Onur, but that is really not appropriate. Bill is doing this all for the good of the community. No one is out to pick on you.

You should really wrap them with buddy tape or parafilm
This, and ASAP. They need high humidity right now. At least bag them up if you don't want to wrap them. They'll have a tough time reviving if left out in the open, especially in sunlight. Good luck!
If you want a little more humidity put a bucket(s) of water in the surrounding area of the trees. Sure sounds quacky but it’s true.
The black stems may not be dead. Snip the ends. I had some that looked black but had green underneath.yup-

Bill could have gone the cal-mei route and made people sign NDA's or only provide people to certain trees (I contacted calmei years ago and was told I could not buy a tree or fruit from them) but instead he is providing the opportunity to get a tree through the methods he described in the initial post.
Should they be watered after being planted? Or they should just be planted in a slightly moistened soil?
Keep in mind that scratch test is not a good indicator of if your tree will live. All the trees I have ever gotten were green. The problem is the wood underneath is already starting to fade and die. So even if it's green, it'll eventually die. And even if it's green and alive, if the roots don't grow and rebound from the shock, the plant can't survive. best you can do is just give your best care and wait. Within a month, you'll know if you are successful or not.
At least ya'll got trees and have a chance. USPS seems to have lost my trees. Came and went yesterday and today, no package. Tracking no help.
Got some Yangmei in Florida now, I soaked the roots below the graft for 30 minutes in very diluted rooting hormone/water. Then, proceeded to wrap the trees in Buddy grafting tape above the graft unions. Then into some damp/moist (not wet) well draining soil and into the humid greenhouse. Wishing everyone the best of luck. Everyone send Bill a Thank You!
How do your trees look? Are the grafts green or brown?
My trees all look good after the scratch test, all of them seemed to be green. there was some dieback on some of the branches but minimal. Like everyone said, its a gamble and Bill did a great job facilitating what he had to work with.
Our trees were shipped at the same time. You are lucky that all of your trees are good. I am not that lucky. All of mine are dead. You can't even scratch because they are so dry.

Onur - don’t give up on them. Continue as if all is ok. Give them love, humidity and a few weeks.

They are just dead! There is no green even on the bottom of the grafts when I scratch.
