WTB: Musa velutina, Musa sikkimensis, Musa basjoo
« on: December 19, 2022, 12:05:49 PM »
Hi all,

Looking for some small banana plants or pups from the following varieties, known to be more cold-tolerant:

Musa velutina (Pink Banana)
Dwarf Namwah Banana (Musa spp.)
Red-Striped varieties of the Darjeeling Banana (Musa sikkimensis)
Hardy Banana aka Japanese banana (Musa basjoo)

Open to purchase or trade! Thanks all.

I got you with the basjoo.
Just a warning: the fruit is not edible!
It's winter now so I'm not sure how its gonna work out. I can try to dig up a corm and send it to you. Or we can wait until spring then I'll dig up a pup and send it to you.
Either way they should both do ok. I'd wait until 2023 though as its gonna get extremely cold and shipping is so slow now.
