These things popped up randomly in commercial compost that I had bought. Definitely cucumber or melon like look to them. Maybe lightly sweet to taste but more lije a cucumber flavor wise. Guess its not poisonous since I ate some without issues lol...what are these???

Pics of the vine peach online look pretty similar other than maybe a bit more elongated than mine. Though im sure there are many morphologies. I'll have to cut one cross sectioned to see how the seeds are arranged. Cut the one in the pic length wise not width wise. Figure that vine peach is likely what they are. Anyone else have ideas too though?

Lemon cucumber?  Leaves seem too rounded though.  Hmm.

These are a native plant that grows wild. I forget what it is called Racoon Melons or something like that someone told me once. They are generally considered only good for wildlife to eat. They are related to watermelons like the wild cousin. There is also a tomato like plant with tiny not very good fruits which is like the wild ancestor of the domesticated tomato. They are native to Mexico but I saw one growing wild in Florida before (the tomato ones are native to Mexico, I think the melons are native to North America but I'm not sure).
