Has anyone used Horticultural Molasses on their plants? If so, how did it work out?

I used it and still do. I got it from the feedstore and it wasn't
expensive. That probably has changed?
I used it mainly when I made up some fish emulsion.
I seem to be adding or trying different additives or fertlizer
all the time and didn't notice big results. I used the molasses
in foliar spray and root drench also.

I have used sweeteners for certain plants. It does what it says, makes things sweeter. I don't really think it's needed personally, just work on your soil quality and use a balanced fertilizer and the plant will do the conversion to sugars.

I expect it would be good in a compost pile!

I add it to my compost teas. It's supposed to increase microbial activity. D

Of course it helps microorganisms. It’s what is used to wake up latent microorganisms cultures. And molasses should be mixed in to microorganism applications.

I've always been told to buy the 50 lb bags at feed store for cheap, and spread it in soil in fall.
I am sure this is molasses from beet sugar as it's more bitter , and not sold for baking stuff in grocery stores .
