Oranges: Akcay Sekeri, Rotuma Island and Xuegan
« on: October 13, 2020, 07:04:34 PM »
Has anyone grown or tasted these oranges?  How good are they?
I found bits of info on fruitmentor, UCR and other sites, but I would like to hear first hand experiences.

How about the US Seedless Surprise(USDA 1-77-19 tangelo)?
Did it surprise you in a good way?

Never tasted any of them.  On the Akcay Sekeri, the University of California states: Flavor is good but not as good as navel orange

It's strange that UC would compare Akcay Sekeri to a navel orange instead of a valencia orange.
It's not a peeling orange, it's a hard to peel and good for juicing orange.
